East of US 19, just north of Drew Street, Moccasin Lake Park is a nature park of the City of Clearwater. It has trails, boardwalks, and viewing areas to watch wildlife in its natural habitat. On Saturday morning, I joined students and several volunteers from the Clearwater Civitan Club, the Sierra Club and the Audobon Society in removing potato vines and caesar plants from the park. Other volunteer opportunities are available, and be sure to take advantage of the many programs at the park during the summer.

After the meeting I visited with Shareef Doumet, Lucile Casey, and President Don Casey.
