The Clearwater Police Department and the city’s Parks and Recreation Department provided a one-year recreational scholarship to 10 students on Friday. The students and their families will be able to use any city recreational facility for the next year. The honorees were selected because of their model behavior, good grades, and leadership potential. The ceremony was held at the Ross Norton Recreation Center where City Manager Bill Horne, Deputy Police Chief Sandra Wilson, and I participated in recognizing the scholarship recipients.
